Kevin Lee Shaw, age 52, of Beloit, passed away at 3:18 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at his home after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born May 24, 1961, in Canton, to George M and JoAnn M. (McQuistin) Shaw.
Kevin enjoyed fishing and was an all-around fun guy. He was a family man who enjoyed time with his grandchildren.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his daughters, Melissa (fiancé, Chris) Dotson of Beloit, and Michele Shaw of Homeworth; sisters, Patricia "Sis" (Perry) Kelley of Canton and Rebecca Spencer of Canton; brothers, Frank (Mary Jane) Clendenin of Indiana, George M. (Paulette) Shaw, Jr., Clark E. Shaw, and Jeffrey A. (fiancé, Mary), all of Canton; a wonderful nephew, Frank Clendenin, Jr., whom family would like to send a special thank you; nephew, Danny L. Kelley; special niece, Tracy Clendenin; grandchildren, Christopher (Bubba) Fritz, Jr., Ethan Fritz, Noah Lee Fritz, Ayden Baker and Rhys Baker, many cousin, nieces nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; many friends; and his dog, Chrystal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; lifelong companion, Tammy Dotson; and a nephew, Jeffery Allen Shaw, Jr.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
