Kim W. "Big Papa" Edwards, age 64, of Alliance, passed away at 10:55 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at his home.
He was born December 22, 1950, in Alliance, Ohio, to Charles and Jane (Brown) Edwards.
Kim retired from Alliance Builders Supply/All County Builders/R. W. Sidley with over 40 years of service as a truck driver. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was of the Christian Faith. Kim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and neighborhood children. He was a great outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, woodworking, camping etc...
Survivors include his daughters, Stacey (Mark) Boswell of St. Augustine, Florida, Amy (Bryan) Ritchie and Kelly Cobb, both of Alliance; former wife, Connie Edwards of Troy, Texas; former son-in-law, Lt. Craig Cobb of Alliance; grandchildren, Evan, Hunter, Nathan, Emilee and Jozie; great-grandchildren, Ariah and Paizlee; siblings, Tim Edwards, Lynn Edwards, Tracy Edwards and Roger Edwards, all of Alliance, Larry Edwards of Cleveland, Peg Davis of Fairfax, Virginia, Jeff Edwards and Todd Edwards, both of Homeworth; and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Buck, Jerry, Jan and Pam Edwards.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kim's family to be used for their discretion.
