La'Gentrius A. Johnson, age 39, formerly of Alliance, passed away at 2:45 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2014.
He was born April 28, 1975, in Alliance, Ohio, to Charles Williams and Theresa (Johnson) Al-Aroud.
La'Gentrius was a graduate of Alliance High School and attended Stark State College.
He loved to travel and spend time with his children.
Survivors include his mother Theresa Al-Aroud of Alliance; sisters, La'Shanda Al-Aroud of Alliance and Tasha Blanchard of Chicago; children, La'Gentrius A., Tre'Juan C., Sabriah A., Da'Qwon, Fi'Nesse D., Si'Dasja, Na'Shawn and Le'Gend; and uncles, Frank Johnson and Richard Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Nettie and Harold Johnson; and daughter, Essence Jones.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday July 25, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A service will be held immediately following at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joyce Williams officiating. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery, with repass to follow at Feed My Sheep/New Beginnings Church, 114 E. Main St. Alliance OH 44601.
