Lana Frederick Varga

Lana Frederick Varga, age 73, passed away on August 25, 2024. 

She was born on July 18, 1951, in Alliance, to Lewis and Lois (Emery) Frederick.

Lana graduated from Marlington High School in 1969. She did clerical work for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for several years, but her greatest joy came from working in the daycare field. Lana also served as a crossing guard in Alliance. She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in Uniontown. Lana enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her five siblings, Linda Leigh of Chincoteague, VA, Lea Ellen Abrams of Springfield, OH, Lowell Frederick of Kalspell, MT, Lo Ann Groghan of Stow, OH, and Louise Berrier of South Charleston, OH; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Gina and Phill, Garbrielle and Dominic Volpe, and Brad and John Madsend and family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Steve Varga.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Thursday, August 29th at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
