Larry E. Crumrine age 96, of Louisville, formerly of Alliance, passed away at 3:05 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017, at St. Joseph Care Center of Louisville.
He was born September 20, 1921, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Vernon O. and Fay M. (Franklin) Crumrine.
A graduate of Woodsfield High School, Larry was former operator of Sohio Sevice Station in Alliance and also employed as a millwright at American Steel.
A member of the Church of Christ, he was also a member of the Alliance VFW Post 1036 and was an avid bowler and golfer.
Larry served his country as a United States Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include his two sons, Collin (Beverly) Crumrine of Louisville and Rollin (Judy) Crumrine of East Canton; two brothers, Keith (Kathy) Crumrine of Ellensberg, Washington and Clavon K. (Carol) Crumrine of Canal Fulton; longtime friend, Marie Newsome; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary (Dougherty) Crumrine and second wife, Betty (Holmes) Crumrine and son, Edward E. Crumrine.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to St. Joseph Care Center and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care of Larry.
Per Larry's wishes cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held.
