Larry Kohl

Larry D. Kohl, age 67, of Alliance, Ohio died at 2:57 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008 at his home after a courageous seven month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Larry was born Nov. 1, 1940 in Alliance, Ohio to Rudolph G. and Katherine (Lenz) Kohl and was a lifelong Alliance resident.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Larry was employed as an inspector at Transue & Williams for 40 years and the former Buckeye Village IGA for 20 years. He was a former member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and member of the Elks BPOE #467 and the Christopher Columbus Club.
Survivors include his wife, Marianne K. (Quinlan) Kohl of Alliance, whom he married May 11, 1963; children, Lisa Ann (David) Roysum of Orlando FL, Judy (Gary) Gang of Deltona FL, John (Traci) Kohl of Alliance; five grandchildren, Ryan, Nathan and Jaden Gang, Mackenzie and Ashley Kohl and a sister, Phyllis Dennis of Alliance.
He was preceded by his parents.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25th at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Dr. David Bloor officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
