Laura Agnas Polinori, age 90 of Alliance, died at 9:25 a.m. May 21, 2004 at Bel-Air Care Center.
Mrs. Polinori was born November 14, 1913 in Brockway, Pennsylvania to Jack and Mary (Castina) Paganelli.
She attended St. Joseph School, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a past member of Funtastiks, Altar and Rosary Society, Alliance Elks Auxiliary, and visited nursing homes with the ladies of the church, and was one of the first group of ladies that started the Ice Cream Socials at nursing homes.
Mrs. Polinori was the former owner/operator, along with her husband, of Polinori's Restaurant.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Rick Bretean of Alliance, grandsons, Cary (Kelly) Murphy and Sean (Nicole) Murphy, of Tampa, Florida, great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Trisha, Cailey, Cole, Camryn, and Reily Murphy, sisters; Lena Aanderud of Amelea, Ohio, Esther Carter of Crestline, Ohio and Edith Cironi of Alliance, brother Raymond Paganelli of Alliance, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Irvin Paganelli, and her husband, Al Polinori, whom she married September 9, 1957, and who died August 29, 1976.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Monsignor James Kolp officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 427 E. Broadway St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
