LaVerne Anne Edwards

LaVerne Anne (Humphrey) Edwards, age 91, of Alliance, passed away at Aultman Hospital on December 10, 2020 at 2:16 p.m.

She was born on September 16, 1929 to Milan Paul Humphrey and Iva (Schneider) Humphrey.

Laverne worked at Mount Union doing student billing for over 35 years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Laverne loved to play piano and sing. She was also a member of many card groups.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathleen D. Tietz of Akron; her son, Bob (Shelley) Edwards of Sebring; grandchildren, Dedrie Edwards, Rachel French, Michelle Tietz, Dylan Edwards, and Chase Edwards; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Edwards whom she married on July 1, 1950 and who passed on October 8, 2013; her sisters, June and Eileen; and a baby brother.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Monday, December 14th at 1:30. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
