Lawrence Brewer

Lawrence Brewer, age 91, of Alliance, passed away on April 28, 2022.

He was born on August 9, 1930 in Ryland, Alabama to Clyde and Pauline (Thomas) Brewer.

Lawrence served in the Navy for four years before starting a career in aerospace. He started work at Huntsville Alabama’s Redstone Arsenal then transferred to Kennedy Space Center in Florida with NASA. Lawrence worked as a NASA quality inspector during the Apollo moon landings and later as a NASA safety inspector during the Space Shuttle Program. He retired in 1994 after 41 years of civil service.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jeffrey Brewer; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Brewer; and grandchildren, Caitlin and Jacob Brewer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Shirley, who passed in 2004.
