Lawrence J. "Larry" Colvin age 80 of Alliance died at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday November 26, 2003 at Altercare of Alliance.
He was born in Proctor, West Virginia on April 5, 1923 to Lloyd and Clara (Klug) Colvin. Mr. Colvin was employed as a Press Operator at the Crane Company in Alliance for 18 years, retiring in 1985.
A U. S. Army WWII Veteran, he served with the 264th Field Artillery. His hobbies were gardening and being a building craftsman.
He is survived by his wife Delores Jean Colvin of Alliance, son Randall Colvin of Alliance, sister Doris Burkhart of Carrollton, and brother Francis D. Colvin of BelAire, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Alliance City Cemetery.
