Lawrence Robert Schoenauer III

Lawrence R. Schoenauer, III, age 16, of Alliance, died at 5:38 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2012.
He was born December 28, 1995, in El Paso, Texas, to Lawrence R. Schoenauer Jr. and Rachel Smith.
Lawrence was a student at Marlington High School. A member of the Alliance Church of Christ, he was a leader for Youth for Christ and mentored other children.
He loved his friends, was quite the jokester and loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his mother, Rachel Smith of Canton, his father, Lawrence R. Jr. (Angie) Schoenauer, of Madison Heights, Mich., Mom and Dad, Brian (Cynthia) Smith of Alliance; four sisters, Kiersten Foster, Taylor Schoenauer, November McMaster, all of the home, and Mikayla Sanderson and brother, Travis Sanderson, both of Canton; uncle, Lee (Heather) Smith of Dover; grandfather, Lawrence Robert Schoenauer Sr. of Nebraska; paternal grandparents, Doug (Marty) Culver of Michigan; great-grandfather, Donald Berger of Wellsville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ramona Whitacre and maternal great-great grandparents, Gene and Evelyn Mason.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor David Ray officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
