Lee O. Breit, age 80, of Minerva, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born October 23, 1932 in Marlboro Township to John and Estel (Jacobs) Breit.
Lee was a machinist and an estimator for the Alliance Machine Company for 43 years until his retirement.
He was a member of the Paradise United Church of Christ, a lifetime member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge # 467 and the Stark County Farm Bureau. Lee loved agriculture, especially his whiteface cattle.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy (Rohrer) Breit of Minerva, whom he married on May 5, 2000; son, Steve (Diane) Breit of Minerva; stepchildren, Dave (Deedee) Thomas, Mark (Christine) Thomas both of Louisville and Lori (Neal) Mickley of Alliance; grandchildren, Amy (Chad) Novak, Jeff (Ashli) Breit, Brittany, Caitlin, Jacob, Valerie, Andrea, Nick and Ethan; six great grandchildren; and brothers, Larry Breit and William Breit.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin Breit; and sister, Eileen Schweizer.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday August 14, 2013 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Joyce Schroer officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
