Lee V. Cassidy, age 85, of Alliance, died at 6:27 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007 at McCrea Manor.
Mr. Cassidy was born, July 4, 1922 in Carrollton, Ohio to Vern Edward and Pearl Ellen (Baxter) Cassidy.
He attended Vine Street United Methodist Church. He was employed as a foreman, carpenter, and superintendent with Kintz Construction before his retirement in 1986 after 36 years, and was a member of Akron Carpenters Local Union #69, American Legion Post #166, and former member of PNA Sportsman Club, an avid fisherman, hunter and story teller.
Mr. Cassidy was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran having served in World War II as a staff Sargent in the South Pacific.
He is survived by his wife, Marjory Ellen Moulin Cassidy of Alliance, whom he married July 27, 1946; daughter, Treva Curtis of Alliance, sons, Thomas L. (Linda) Cassidy and Tod L. Cassidy, both of Beloit; grandchildren, Thom Curtis, Tracy Curtis, Lee Cassidy, David Cassidy; great-grandchildren, Logan Curtis-Warner, Quinn Curtis-Warner and Zachary Cassidy; four sisters, Maude Bracken and Mary Boley, of Carrolton and Madelyn Baker and Kate Kommel, of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his two brothers, Paul and Robert; and one sister Ruth Bixley.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Dr. David Bloor officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
