Lela G. Reed, age 81 of Copley, Ohio died at 7:05 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2008 at Lorantffy Care Center in Copley, Ohio. She was formerly of Alliance and Akron.
Lela was born August 20, 1927 in Clear Lake, Iowa to Aneus and Bessie (Pitman) Frohling.
Mrs. Reed was a Nurse Aid in Colorado.
Survivors include her two sons, William T. (Martha) Reed of Canton, OH and Richard R. (Barbara) Reed of Akron, OH; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jean Wittenmyer of Bowling Green, OH.
Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael T. Reed; and one brother, Edward Frohling.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Mainwaring Chapel at the Alliance City Cemetery with Pastor James White of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Avenue Alliance, Ohio.
