Leland Robinson

Leland Robinson age 88 formerly of Alliance died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 23, 2003 at his home, in Fredericksburg, where he lived with and was cared for his by grandson Shane and family.
He was born in Charlestown, OH on May 9, 1915 to the late Wesley and Letha (Lennon) Robinson. He has lived in the Alliance area the majority of his life; he was a Dairyman and employed by the former Alliance Drop Forge until his retirement in 1977.
Leland was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, and a member of UCT Council 261 of Alliance.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn D. (Betz-Unkefer), a daughter, Janice King of Alliance, a stepson Keith Unkefer of Applecreek, 3 grandchildren, Justin and Tiffany King of Minerva, Michelle King of Louisville, Tanya Burke (King) and husband Kelley of Salem, 3 step-grandchildren; Shane Unkefer and wife Stacey of Fredericksburg, Thad Unkefer and wife Stephanie of Smithville, and Tabitha (Canfora) Unkefer and husband Patrick of Barberton, and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Edith Groves in 1967, 2nd wife Lucille Wiles in 1983, 4 brothers; Allen, Willis, Robert and Fredrick, and 3 sisters; Etta Smith, Jesse Bert and Dorothy Henderson.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Hookway officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
