Lena Gobley

Lena C. Gobley, age 91, of Alliance, died at 12:27 p.m. July 27, 2007 at home.
She was born August 29, 1915 in Alliance, Ohio to William and Martha (Simmons) Benner and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Gobley attended Alliance High School and was a graduate of National Beauty School in Canton. She was a member of the Marlboro Assembly of God and was owner and operator of the former Federal Beauty Salon in Alliance.
Survivors include her son Jack W. (Darlene) Gobley of Atwater, three grandchildren, Scott W. Gobley, Jodi Bauhoff, and Jason W. Gobley; six great-grandchildren, Kristen, Loren, Corrine, Charles, Kody and Kyle.
Mrs. Gobley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wade L. Gobley, who died April 18, 1989; two brothers, Ernest and Oscar; and three sisters, Cleata, Viola and Freda.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Ernest McCracken of The Assembly of God officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
