Lena Kriner, age 90, of Alliance, passed away at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born July 14, 1920, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, to William A. and Mary E. (Karr) Stinson.
Lena was an Alliance High School graduate and a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by daughter, Loyce Ingrid Kriner, of Columbus; son, Dr. Lon (Helene) Kriner of Williamsburg, Virginia; grandchildren, Brandon (Kate) Kriner and Laren (Anthony) Marra; two great-grandchildren, Maura and Spencer Kriner; and a sister, Imogene Haubert of Mason, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Spencer Kriner who died in 1988; and a sister, Charlesetta Parke.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2011, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Sue DeHoff officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Stark County Board of D.D., 2950 Whipple Ave., NW, Canton, Ohio, 44708.
