Lena Stanciu age 89 of Alliance died at 5:00 p.m. May 11, 2003 at McCrea Manor Nursing Center.
Born June 3, 1913 in Alliance, she was the daughter of Moses Stanciu and Anna (Bruslea) Stanciu.
A lifelong resident of Alliance, she attended Alliance Public Schools, and worked as an Assembler at Alliance Manufacturing for 35 years, retiring in 1979.
She was a member of St. Theodore's Byzantine Catholic Church (Romanian Rite), U.R. Transylvania Society, Alliance Mfg. Retirees, Genie Retirees, and St. Elena Ladies Church Auxiliary.
Surviving are one niece Jenny Bevington and one nephew John Stanciu, both of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Saracusta Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be at Alliance City Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Theodore's Byzantine Catholic Church.
