Leslie H Nicholson

Leslie Hardin Nicholson, age 78, of Alliance, passed away at 3:12 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2015, at Aultman Compassionate Care in Canton. He was born May 1, 1937, in Toxey, Alabama, to Preston and Millie (Kirksey) Nicholson, and has resided in Alliance since 1960. Leslie was a member of Second Baptist Church and had retired from Babcock and Wilcox Research Center as a maintenance technician. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed fishing and watching Ohio sports teams. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sandra (Babb) Nicholson whom he married June 19, 1965; children, Lesa (Nicholson) (T.J.) Jackson of Canton, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie (Felicia) Nicholson of Cheltenham, Maryland, and Mr. and Mrs. LaRon (Krystle) Nicholson of Alliance; grandsons, LaRon and LaKavien Nicholson, both of Alliance; and surviving siblings, Mrs. Vera Hawkins, Mrs. Eliza Williamson, and Mrs. Donnie Ruth Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Betty Harper, Vinnie Nicholson, Georgia Rogers, Preston Nicholson, Jr. and Fred Nicholson. Per Leslie's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Noon, Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
