Lester Forester of Alliance died at his home at 2:15 a.m. November 11, 2004.
He was born in Birdsville, Pennsylvania to Elmer and Isabelle (Smith) Forester and lived in Alliance since 1982.
Mr. Forester was the owner of the former Forester's Red and White Grocery Store in Campbell, New York until 1968.
He was a U.S. Marine Corp W.W.II veteran.
Survivors include his wife Suzie A. (Anderson) Forester, whom he married August 21, 1981, two sons Darryl Forester of Cumming, Georgia and Timothy Forester of Bath, New York, two daughters Lana Redd of Spring, Texas and Cynthia Casterline of Newfield, New York nine grandchildren, and one sister, Emma Shoemaker of Bath, New York. He is also survived by his loving pet companion, Daisy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and six sisters.
A Private Service will be held Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alliance Visiting Nurses and Hospice Association, or the Salvation Army, Alliance Citadel.
