Lillian L. "Doad" Suter, age 83, of Homeworth, died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Canterbury Villa.
She was born November 24, 1925 in Sistersville, West Virginia to George and Ruth (Still) Beaver and was a Homeworth resident for more than 55 years.
Lillian was a member of the Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her children, Randy (Barb) Suter of Beloit, Marcelene (George) Fitzelle of Alliance, Jay B. (Samantha) Suter of Canton, and Tawna Suter of Homeworth; four grandchildren, Shawn Fitzelle, Rob Suter, Erik Fitzelle, and Hannah Paige Suter and two great-grandsons; one sister, Margaret Minor of Wheeling West Virginia; many nieces; nephews; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Homer R. Suter, whom she married June 11, 1949 and who died December 29, 1981; sister, Jean Watson; infant son, Kevin Suter; and two infant grandsons, Bryan Lynn Suter and Phillip Raymond Suter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
