Lisbeth E. "Beth" Stanford, age 73, of Alliance, passed away at 4:26 p.m., Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton.
She was born June 17, 1940, in Sebring, Ohio, to William and Sara C. (Brown) Albert.
Beth had a bachelor's degree from the Eastern Nazarene College and did graduate work at the University of Maryland in English Literature. She was a member of the Alliance Friends Church and their Christian Education Director until her retirement. She was involved in the Celebrate Recovery Program and active in other areas of the church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy (Brian) Perusek of Brecksville, Ohio; son, Mark (Cheryl) Stanford of Largo, Florida; three granddaughters; sister, Amee Boggs of Uniontown; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2014, at Alliance Friends Church with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the educational programs at Alliance Friends Church 1307 W. State St., Alliance, OH 44601.
