Lloyd Allyn Davidson

Lloyd Allyn Davidson, age 89, passed away on December 27, 2022.

He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on June 13, 1933 to Lloyd G. Davidson and Cleo Davidson.

Lloyd began work as a manager for Isaly’s then went into college food service for Ohio Western University until ultimately becoming the director of food service at Mount Union College (now the University of Mount Union) for 34 years. He believed in providing the best service possible and strove to achieve customer satisfaction with his special touch. Lloyd was well known by alumni of Mount Union and was a stranger to none. Work was his forte, but upon retirement he compassionately cared for his ailing wife until her death.  He was an avid reader and kept up with the latest consumer reports and eventually became a lover of fishing. Lloyd was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church.

Family was always in the forefront and he was fortunate to have all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren surrounding him locally. He was well-respected and deeply loved by his daughters, Dana and Lori and although he will be greatly missed, he is rejoicing in Heaven now.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Dana (Rod) Peterson and Lori (Tim) Toot; his grandchildren, Talya Toot, Dekota Toot, Ryan Peterson, Bethany Baum, and Kendra Springer; and great-grandchildren, Zane Peterson, Sydney Peterson, Dominic Springer, Drake Peterson, Paycen Peterson, B.T. Baum, Blaine Baum and Baron Baum.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda June; daughter, Lisa Linn; brother, Major; and great-granddaughter, Tiara Monique.

A private memorial service was held. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
