Logan Thomas

1930-2019

Logan B. Thomas age 89, of Alliance, passed away at 6:55 a.m., Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Altercare of Alliance with Aultman/Alliance Hospice Care.

He was born February 2, 1930, in Alliance, Ohio, to Logan and Katie (Alexander) Thomas.

Logan was previously employed by American Steel Foundry, Machine Castings, and Pennsylvania Railroad and was owner of the former Ideal Cleaners in Alliance. He liked repairing clocks and watches, sewing and tailoring and reading and loved people and talking to them. He was a “Jack of all Trades.”

Logan was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses Kingdom Hall and former member of the Cantel Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Joan (Church) Thomas of 51 years, whom he married June 14, 1979; daughters, Althea Cutchin and Charish (Jada) Pride; sons, Lewis (Andrea) Jackson and Aaron Avery (Shannon) Thomas; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a special friend and brother-in-law, Thomas Church; and special friend, Mike Miller.

In addition to his parents, Logan was preceded in death by his son, Logan Thomas III and sister, Lola Gue.

Per Logan’s wishes, there will be no services.  A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
