Lois Green, age 95, of Alliance, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday June 8, 2004 at Alliance Community Hospital.
Mrs. Green was born October 17, 1908 in Moultrie, Georgia to Alfred I. Collins and Mary (Strickland) Collins. She worked as a supervisor at ABC foods at the Roma Air Base in Warner Robins, Georgia for over fifteen years.
Lois was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Homeworth.
Survivors include her four daughters; Dorothy (Everett) Broadwater of Paris, Ohio, Lillian (Louis) Bondoni of Alliance, Eva Stancato of Alliance, and Norma Jean Sipes (Charles) of Denver, Colorado, nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one stepdaughter Eunice Held, one stepson Winnie Sanderson, four step grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and one brother, Andrew Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Winnie Sanderson, her second husband, James L. Green, and one grandchild.
Services will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Joel Harriman officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 4714 Union Ave. NE, Homeworth, Ohio 44634.
