Louis D. Linta, age 91 of Alliance, died at 6:40 a.m. September 8, 2004 at McCrea Manor Nursing Home.
Mr. Linta was born February 23, 1913 in Mansfield, Ohio to John and Stephanie Linta, and lived in Alliance since 1958.
He graduated from Mansfield Senior High School, and was employed as a Senior Electrical Engineer in Quality Control at Transue Williams and with Lear-Siglier, retiring in 1971.
Mr. Linta was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elks, and Alliance Senior Center. His hobbies included exercising, running road races, and being a lifelong student and avid reader.
Survivors include his wife Wanita (Pfahler) Linta, whom he married Aug. 24, 1940, one brother John Linta Jr. of Mansfield, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Mike and one sister Mary.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday September 18 at Fairview Cemetery in Galion, Ohio, with interment to follow.
