Louis J. Quinn, age 81 of Alliance, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born July 2, 1936 in Newcomerstown, Ohio to Joseph and Ethel (Reddick) Quinn.
Mr. Quinn worked as a time study time keeper for Youngstown Steel Door until retiring.
A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, Louis was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, flower and vegetable gardening. He also loved spending time with his family and grandsons.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce E. (Fox) Quinn, whom he married August 14, 1965; children, Brian S. Quinn of Canton, and Jill M. (Scott) Young of Hartville, grandsons, Christopher (Gabby) Young and Brandon Young; brother Robert (Daisy) Quinn and sisters, Elizabeth and Ellen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ralph F. Quinn and Roy D. Quinn; and mother and father-in-law, Emma and Gaylord Fox.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Carter officiating. Friends may call the hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Marlboro Fire Department.
