Loyid W. McHam, age 93, of Alliance, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at Aultman Alliance Hospital.
He was born December 29, 1927 in Paris, Texas to Emmit and Anny (Kelley) McHam.
Loyid worked as a Machine Operator at SanCap Abrasives, and later for St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
A U.S. Army Veteran, Loyid was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Those left to miss and remember him include his sons, Loyid (Anne) McHam, Paul (Marci) McHam, Joe McHam, and Johnny (Heidegret) Schernthaner; grandchildren, Matt (Debbi Lynn) McHam, Missy (Ryan) Breuer, Tim (Elisabeth) McHam, Chris (Lee) McHam, Amy McHam, and Tiffany McHam; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many other family members in Texas and Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie, whom he married October 31, 1947, and who died May 3, 2002, and a grandson, Michael McHam.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 20th at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with the Very Rev. Cannon Matthew Mankowski, D. Min. officiating.
Friends may visit the hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment, with military honors, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
