Lucile E. Smith

Lucile E. Smith, age 97, of Sebring, passed away at 3:36 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born April 1, 1919 in Alliance, Ohio to Palmer Owen Davidson and Bertha (Strom) Davidson.
Mrs. Smith graduated in 1936 from Alliance High School and was a graduate of Alliance Business College.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Builders and Crusaders Sunday School Classes, and United Methodist Women. Mrs. Smith also belonged to Eastern Star, Alliance Chapter, and Rebekah Lodge in Sebring.
Survivors include her daughters, Janet (Tom) Guerra of Painesville, Ohio, Patricia Hirst of Alliance, Ohio, and Diane (Lanny) Hisey of Marietta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Tricia (Russell) Durst of Painesville, Ohio, Tom (Melissa) Guerra, of Mentor, Ohio, Jennifer Larner of Wickliffe, Ohio, Justin Hirst of Alliance, Ohio, Kristen (Larry) Freeman, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Daniel Hisey of Chicago, Illinois; ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Smith in 1992, brother, Gerald Davidson, and sister, DeAlma Scheatzle.
Mrs. Smith's family would like to thank the staff at Crandall Medical Center for the excellent care they gave Lucile.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Cassaday Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
