Luella M. (Lewis) Crites, age 79, of the Canton Christian Home, where she resided with her husband, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Aultman Hospital.
She was born May 25, 1938 in Canton to George and Charlotte (Shaffer) Lewis.
A graduate of McKinley High School and Milligan College in Tennessee, Luella retired as a fourth grade teacher at Lexington Elementary School.
She was a member of Marlboro Christian Church and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Eric F. Crites whom she married July 3, 1960; daughters, Colleen (Raymond) Hall of Hartville, Karen (Patrick) Kelly of Elizabethton, Tennessee, Kathleen (William) Beebe, of Medina and Elizabeth Crites of Hartville; grandchildren, Erika (Isaac), Erin, Nick, Michael, Ryan, Ian, Chris (Kayla), Alex (Allie), Billy, Danny and Julian; great-grandson, Kash; brother, William Lewis of East Sparta; and cousin, Norma Johnson of Canton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and newborn daughter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Marlboro Christian Church with Pastors Ed Harnish, Mark Black, and Kenny Thomas co-officiating. Friends may call from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the church.
Interment will be held at Marlboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marlboro Christian Church at 9383 Edison St NE, Alliance, OH 44601.
