M. Jane Albu, age 89, of Sebring, formerly of Alliance, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born April 27, 1922, in Akron to Clifton Andrew and Helen (Pursell) Andrew and was a lifelong area resident.
Jane was a graduate of Garfield High School in Akron. She was employed as a cook for Alliance schools, and worked for M. O'Neil Company.
She was formerly a very active member of Science Hill Community Church, first woman President of the Consistery and member of the Buckeye Trailer Club. Jane volunteered as a reading tutor at Rockhill School, and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include; two daughters, Carolyn J.(Robert) Tener of Rootstown and Kathy H. (William) McBride of Louisville; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild, whom she greatly adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George, whom she married June 1, 1941; and two brothers, Jack and Clifton.
Jane's family would like to thank the staff of Copeland Oaks and Crandall Medical Center for their kindness.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
