Mabel D. (Griggy) Aebersold, age 90, of Marlboro went home to be with the Lord at 2:30 a.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born November 16, 1923, in Hartville, Ohio, to Harry and Irene (Kinsley) Griggy.
Mabel Aebersold was a member of Alliance Baptist Temple. She loved gardening, meeting people at her roadside produce stand, decorating her home, and working outside. Mabel dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Aebersold of Corning, NY and Larry L. Aebersold of Marlboro; three grandchildren, Faith, Hope and David; five great-grandchildren, Adam, Lindsay, Megan, David and Connor; sisters, Edna Rushing of North Carolina and Florence Pidcock of Mogadore; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred M. Aebersold, whom she married June 23, 1941 and who died September 25, 1989; and siblings, Thelma, Blanche, Raymond and Nora.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Emhoff officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
