Mabel Eileen Reed age 83 of Alliance died at Altercare of Alliance at 9:00 p.m. November 23, 2003.
She was born in Alliance on November 18, 1920 to Roy and Ora C. ((Philips) Myers and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Reed was employed as a cashier at the former Turner Schuman Drugs at Mount Union and also worked at American Steel during World War II.
She was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Ruggles officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Ste. 1700, Chicago IL 60601-7630.
