Madge Delores Weigel

Madge Delores Weigel passed away on August 14, 2017.
She was born on December 19, 1933 in Pedro, Ohio to Arlie and Nancy (Collins) Barker.
A 1951 graduate of Alliance High School, Madge received her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri in 1959. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, she served from 1952-1954.
Madge was an art teacher for 27 years at Olmstead Falls Middle School retiring in 1997.
She enjoyed developing art projects for her students, crafts and sewing. Madge loved playing Rummikub with her nephew Mike and was a longstanding friend of Lois Wilson.
Survivors include her son, Carl Weigel III of Euclid, OH, and daughter Nancy (John) Petro of Westlake, OH; grandchildren, C.J. Weigel IV, Brian Weigel, Erin Weigel, Rachel Robertson and Emily (Robert) Lenz; brothers, Lloyd and Virgil Barker; and sisters, Eleanor (Arthur) Zimmerman and Faye Hollaway.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Weigel, Jr., and brothers, Arlie Barker, Jr., and Stanley Barker.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Altercare of Alliance for their kindness and care of Madge.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 25, at First Christian Church with Sue DeHoff officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
