Margaret Ament

Margaret (Miller) Ament, age 102, passed away at 1:20 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover, Ohio.
She was born December 20, 1913, in North Benton, Ohio, to Walter and Mary (Boohecker) Miller.
An Alliance High School graduate, Margaret was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Alliance.
Mrs. Ament was a 40-year member of the Alliance Women's Club, Sebring Garden Club, Daughters of the American Revolution and Eastern Star.
She was an avid reader and gardener; and enjoyed playing bridge. She was a remarkable woman of strength and kindness and loved by many.
Survivors include her son, Jim (Karen) Ament of Evergreen, Colorado; daughter, Rebecca (Rick) Brinkman of Strasburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Robert Kerchner, Rodd Kerchner, Ronda Feeney, John Ament, Elaine Eckstrom, Emily Knapp and Katie Brinkman; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John William Ament, whom she married January 20, 1934; daughter, Rita (Rod) Kerchner; and siblings, Robert Miller, Russell Miller, Rebecca Menges and Jean Kile.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jim McCurdy officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Highland Memorial Park.
