Margaret A. Beran, age 83, of Alliance, passed away at 6:31 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born September 4, 1929, in Alliance, Ohio, to Hugh Gordon and Irene (Irwin) Robertson.
An Alliance High School graduate, Mrs. Beran graduated from St. Luke Nursing School in Cleveland where she later was employed as a nurse.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan (Sean) Cashman of Columbus, and Lynn Beran of Cincinnati; two sons, Dr. Robin F. (Marilyn) Beran of Columbus and Charles G. Beran of Alliance; sister, Alma Robertson of Alliance; and grandchildren, Connor, Kera, Alexandra, Olivia, Andrew, Kegan and Kevin.
Mrs. Beran was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. Joseph J. Beran, whom she married September 22, 1952 and who died May 22, 1987; and a brother.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Jerome H. Colegrove officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 7010 Engle Rd. Suite 100, Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130
