Margaret R. Eglie of Minerva, died early Sunday morning, October 27, 2013 at Aultman Hospital.
Margaret Ann Robson was the only child of Frederic and Wilhelmina "Helen" (Bauer) Robson.
She was born December 4, 1926, in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Otterbein University with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in piano performance. It was at Otterbein that she met H. Robert Pollock, who became her first husband.
They moved to Wooster and had three children; Marcia Ann Pollock (Paul) Farabee of Annandale, VA; Frederic Lee (Terry) Pollock of Rittman; and Kenneth Rees (Kari) Pollock of Warner Robins, GA. Bob Pollock died in 1980.
Margaret spent many years in Wooster, teaching piano at the College of Wooster and also in her home. She was also a church organist for over thirty years, both in Wooster and in Minerva.
Later in her life, Margaret became the Activity Director at West View Manor in Wooster, where she met Herb Eglie. In addition to her work at West View Manor, Margaret also worked at Hanover House in Massillon and Eliza Jennings in Cleveland. She and Herb were married July 3, 1982, and they made Minerva their home.
In addition to her husband and three children, Margaret is survived by five grandchildren; Shelley Marie Loy and Stephanie Allison Gittinger; Kurtis Robert, Valerie Ann, and Katherine Lorene Pollock; and one great-granddaughter, Laura Ashleigh Loy.
A private service will be held. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the H. Robert Pollock Speech Education Award at Otterbein University, c/o Otterbein Office of Development, 131 W. Park Street, Westerville, OH 43081.
