Margaret A. Freeman age 93 of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, and formerly of Alliance, died at her home in Murrells Inlet at 3 p.m. June 21, 2004.
She was born August 20, 1910 in Alliance, Ohio to Kasper and Susanna (Kiel) Mathias and lived most of her life in Alliance. In 1991, she moved to California to be with her oldest daughter, before moving to South Carolina in March, 2004.
Mrs. Freeman graduated from Alliance High School, and was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and its Club 55, until she moved.
Survivors include three daughters; Cathy (Gary) Hons of Alliance, Barbara (Robert) Plajer of Alliance, and SusanBelle Pinney of Murrells Inlet, SC; grandchildren; Sandra Morris, Terry Pinney, Cheryl Orlando, Peggy Craig, Laurie Bycraft, Debra Rastetter, David Pinney, Linda Donas, Michael Pinney, Peter Plajer, Robert Plajer II, Amy Carver, Kristina Emplit and Brian Cummings, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter D. Freeman, whom she married September 20, 1933, and who died June 9, 1983, one son James A., five sisters, three brothers, and two granddaughters Becky Jo Plajer and Heidi Lynne Plajer.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Frank Gross officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
