Margaret Josh, age 85 of Alliance, died at her home at 12:50 a.m. December 11, 2004.
She was born August 5, 1919 in Alliance, to James and Cynthia Hathaway Sidley and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Josh graduated from Alliance High School, and attended Kent State University. She was employed as the Bookmobile Coordinator at Rodman Public Library, retiring in 1980 after 24 years of service.
She was a member of First Christian Church and BPOE #467 Auxiliary. Mrs. Josh enjoyed reading.
Survivors include one son, Ron (Carole) Josh of Pensacola, Florida, two daughters, Kay Brown of Alliance, and Gayle (Lee) Radler of Poland, Ohio; six grandchildren, Putter (Kelly Ann) Brown of Bozeman, Montana, James (Jenn) Brown of Park City, Utah, Cynthia (John Paluska) Brown of Burlington, Vermont, Kristy Kay (Charles) Hicks of Franklin, North Carolina, Kirsten (Chris) Waack of Barrington, Illinois, and Josh (Mai) Radler of Tsu, Japan, and four great-grandchildren, Katie Hicks, Austin Hicks, Juddy Brown, and Wes Paluska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bernard Josh, whom she married Sept. 20, 1937 and who died Oct. 4, 2003; and one brother who was killed in action during W.W.II.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday and one half-hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
