Margaret J. Miller

Margaret J. Miller age 86, of Alliance, passed away at 9:15 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Community Care Center.
She was born November 13, 1929, in Canton, Ohio, to Stephen and Katherine (Bertaline) Mate.
Margaret was a graduate of Alliance High School and formerly employed at Royal China and in the loan department at the former Midland Buckeye Bank.
She was a member of the Sandhi Card Club for 72 years, enjoyed crocheting, cooking and was the secretary at the Mile Branch Grange for 27 years. Margaret was also a life member and former President of the American Legion North Georgetown Post 574 and member of the Alliance VFW Post 1036.
Survivors include her husband Gerald L. Miller of Alliance, whom she married June 29, 1957; son, Dale C. Miller of Missouri; grandchildren, Toby Ann, Dale and Jacob; great-grandson, Royal W. Dudley; and sister, Katherine Yagllo of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jody Hill officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.
