Margaret Snyder

Margaret Brienza Snyder of Alliance passed away July 12, 2023 at Mercy Hospital.

She was born December 13, 1929 to Rocky and Elizabeth (Rega) Brienza.  Margaret graduated from Alliance High School in January of 1948.  She married Fred Snyder December 20, 1958.  While Fred served in the Air Force, they lived in Biloxi Mississippi and Rantoul Illinois.  After his discharge they lived in Chicago where Margaret always said she was in her “element”.  After moving back to Alliance, Margaret and Fred owned and operated the Alliance Drive Thru.

Margaret was well known throughout Alliance, especially at Heggy’s and the Giant Eagle Plaza, which she frequented often and left an impression on the many people she would strike up conversations with.

Margaret was proud of her Italian heritage but said sometimes it could get her in trouble.

If she had the opportunity, Margaret would use her favorite farewell and say to each of us, “Adios Amigo”.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sharon (Dean) Mathey; grandsons, Jason Snyder and Trevor (Addie) Mathey; her brother, Donald Brienza; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Rosalee Brienza and Beverly (Chuck) Baier.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 19th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
