Margaret "Peggy" Storck

Margaret "Peggy" (Speer) Storck, age 91, of Alliance, passed away at 5:23 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born April 23, 1925, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Robert and Blanche (Irwin) Speer. Peggy was a 1943 graduate of Alliance High School. She was the owner of a beauty shop, had been employed by Ohio Bell, was a dental assistant for Dr. Haramis, and was a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Elco Tool and Manufacturing Company. Peggy was a Hospice volunteer since 1992 and she also volunteered at Alliance Community Hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church and also of the Elks Widows. She also enjoyed going to card club. Survivors include her sons, Jack (Joan) Storck Jr. of Orangevale, California, and James (Christina) Storck of Alliance; daughter, Lori (Larry) Orahood of Marion; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert (Judy) Speer DDS, of Alliance and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Jack Storck Sr., whom she married July 17, 1943 and who died in 2001 and an infant sister, Nancy. Services will be held at First Christian Church of Alliance at 11 a.m., Monday, March 6, 2017. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the church.
