Margaret "Peggy" Sykes Sunderland

Margaret "Peggy" Sykes Sunderland, age 63, of Alliance, passed away at 7:15 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born September 9, 1952, in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, to Elmer L. Sykes and Laverne Sykes Ramser.
A 1970 graduate of Alliance High School, Peggy was previously employed at Lo Dano's Footwear. She attended Damascus Friends Church and loved scrapbooking.
Survivors include her parents, Laverne (Bud) Sykes Ramser of Alliance; siblings Cheri (Craig) Mazzei of Virginia, Valerie (Ryan) Jacquin of South Carolina, Cindy (Larry) Weatherspoon of Alliance and Tom (Lynn) Sykes of Virginia; children, Melissa Middleton of Canton and Mickey (Carissa) Matlock of Texas; and two grand-daughters.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father in April 1980; infant brother, Robert; and her husband, Greg Sunderland, whom she married July 9, 1999, and who died September 10, 2005.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Weatherspoon officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2016. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
