“Together Again”

Margaret Elnora McAlicher, age 95, of Alliance passed away at 2:05 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at her home.

She was born January  14, 1925 in Bayard, Ohio, the daughter of Fred W. Polen Sr. and Mabel P. (Nunamaker) Polen.

Mrs. McAlicher attended Bayard Schools.

She retired in 1989 after working as a Custodian at the former State Street School for more than 21 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley B. McAlicher of Atwater and Sandra V. Binius of the home; two grandchildren, Joanne P. Krahling and Matthew F.C. (Lindsey) Erisey; five great-grandchildren, Isabella Krahling, Bruce Krahling III, Nicholas Krahling, Joseph Erisey, and Isaac Erisey; one sister, Linda Getschman; and four brothers, Fred William Polen Jr., Albert Eugene Polen, Harry Joseph Polen, and Paul Ronald Polen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Ray Frederick “Fred” McAlicher, whom she married July 16, 1953, and who died November 3, 2015.

Private services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2020 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A private visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The service will be streaming live on our website for those who are unable to attend.

Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
