Marian G. Cordingly, age 96, of Alliance passed away at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Altercare.
She was born October 31, 1914 in Alliance, to Carl and Helen (Wagner) Anderson.. Marian was a 1932 graduate of Alliance High School.
She retired in 1980 from Rodman Public Library. Marian was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Club 55 and the Sisters Support Group of Alliance Area.
Survivors include her son, Richard Cordingly of Alliance; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Cordingly, whom she married October 5, 1934 and who died August 19, 1960; one daughter, Kay (Cordingly) Campbell who died in June 2010; and one brother, Bud Anderson who died in 1992.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Muse officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Rodman Public Library, 215 E. Broadway Street, Alliance, Ohio 44601
