Marianna R. Colon, age 11 of Alliance, died at her home at 2:55 p.m. December 24, 2006.
She was born March 20, 1995 in Alliance, Ohio to Jimmy and Karla M. (Windland) Colon and lived all her life in Alliance.
Marianna was in the fourth grade at Parkway Elementary school, where she enjoyed the Navigators After-School program and playing at recess.
She was an outgoing little girl who liked to listen to Country music, attend the Foursquare Gospel Church, and was loved by everyone.
She is survived by her parents, Jimmy and Karla Colon of Alliance; siblings, Jimmy Colon Jr., Alexis Dawn Colon, Alexandra Nicole Colon, and Katherine Colon, all of the home; grandmother, Rosa Garcia of Alliance, Grandfather, Earl Windland of Alliance, Aunts and Uncles; Luis Colon of Alliance, Nancy Colon and Chris Finn of Stow, Rosemary Garcia of Philadelphia, Pa., Joseph Garcia, of Alliance, Jimmy Garcia of New York, Ralph Colon of Alliance, and Robert Windland of Alliance; in addition to many other Aunts, Uncles, cousins, family and friends.
Marianna was also preceded in death by her Grandmother, Sharon Windland, Uncle Kenneth "Chico" Garcia, and Grandfather, Luis Colon.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Thomas of the First Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Thursday.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Chase Bank, where a trust fund has been established.
