Marianne Elaine Moreland

Marianne Elaine Moreland, age 64, of Alliance passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on July 8, 2023.

A lifelong resident of Alliance, she was born to the late Charles and Grace Day on October 28, 1958.

Marianne spent most of her life as a homemaker with her husband of 45 years, Chester Moreland. They were married on April 29, 1978. Along with raising four children, she later worked for the Alliance City Schools for 20 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Chester; two sons, Joshua Moreland of Sebring and James (Tela) Moreland of Cullman, AL; two daughters, Gina Moreland of Alliance and Tina Bowen of Mentor; eight grandchildren, Heidi Moreland, Justin Stout, Kyle Moreland, Kylee Moreland, Natalie George, Kaydee Carter, Abby Moreland, and Jordan Moreland; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Jenn Moreland.

Calling hours will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 12th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
