Marie M. Bilcze, age 91, of Alliance, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 at her home.
She was born January 14, 1919, in Switzerland, to Adolph and Marie (Schneider) Schott and resided in Alliance most of her life.
Marie was a cafeteria aid for Alliance Public Schools until her retirement. A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Marie was active in Club 55 and the Alliance Area Cooks Club Retirees.
Survivors include her two sons, Joseph P. Bilcze of Alliance and Thomas M. Bilcze and Partner Brett Berger of Mogadore; several nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Nancy Blake.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Bilcze, whom she married August 14, 1951; daughter, Cynthia Bilcze; two brothers; and three sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with The Rev. Timothy Muse officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
