Marie M. Holsopple age 73 of Alliance died at 8:43 p.m. December 27, 2003 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born September 15, 1930 in Moundsville, West Virginia.
Mrs. Holsopple lived in Alliance since the early 1940's and retired as a cook from Roselawn Terrace Nursing Home.
She attended First Christian Church and enjoyed crocheting and making Afghans for family members.
Mrs. Holsopple is survived by her husband Forest Milton "Woody" Holsopple, whom she married Dec. 24, 1949, three sons Mark Holsopple, John (Lois) Holsopple and Kevin Holsopple, all of Alliance, one daughter Kimberly Qualk of Alliance, brother in law Robert Holsopple of Alliance, six grandchildren Jamie Holsopple, Jason Holsopple, Ashley Holsopple, Jordan Holsopple, Steven Qualk, and Samantha Qualk, three great-grandchildren Zachary, Alicia and Wyatt, and two sisters Levada Smith and Jenny Lawson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Floyd, John and Gene.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
