Marie Blanche (Elliott) Spall, age 85, went home to be with the Lord at 5:10 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center after a bravely fought yearlong illness.
She was born March 6, 1930, in Salem, Ohio, to Thomas and Ruth (Aellig) Elliott. She attended Sebring McKinley High School and Berlin Center United Methodist Church
Marie was a wonderful, soft spoken and loving woman. She loved ceramics and crocheting and had an amazing green thumb, loving plants of all kinds. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother great grandmother, sister and friend, and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband, of 66 years, Richard M. Spall of Alliance, whom she married October 9, 1948; children, Judy Dreher of Massillon, Susan Mason of Minerva, Tracy (Earl) Moracco of Ellsworth, Rick (Melissa) Spall of Minerva and Kelly (Tim) Morris of Alliance; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and a sister, Sandy (Larry) Burkey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Irvin and Richard; and sisters, Amy Jacobs and Anna May Rasile.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Vincent officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m., to 1 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
